What is the Concessions & Beverage outlet Team?

Concessions is a team within Emerald Park, that  consists of many busy outlet units selling ice-creams, hot and cold beverages, slushees, donuts, snacks and sweet treats.

While teamwork is the dream, staff may have to work on their own initiative as some of our units are manned by one person.

Role & responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will be:

• Engage and interact directly with our guests, with a focus on upselling to enhance the guest experience.
• Process sales using EPOS systems.
• Prepare hot beverages and serve confectionery and ice cream.
• Ensure work area is presented / stocked to the expected standard.

Areas of work

• In any of the Concessions & Beverage units within Emerald Park – front & back of house, including Ice cream Parlours, Coffee Docks, Sweet Treat Wagons.

Requirements

• Applicants must be 17 years or older by March 29th, 2025.
• Prior work experience is not a requirement and we welcome individuals who are entering the workforce for the first time.
• This is a seasonal contract position. Estimated start date March 29th – September 28th, 2025. Contracts may be extended.

Skills

• Exceptional customer service skills are essential, as the role involves direct interaction with customers.
• Confidence and accuracy in handling both cash and card transactions.
• A flexible, adaptable approach to work, paired with a positive “can-do” attitude, is crucial for thriving in this collaborative team environment.
• Prior experience in fast-paced retail or Food & Beverage settings is highly desirable.

While barista experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are well-equipped for success in this exciting opportunity.

Full training will be provided to team members before commencing their work with the Concessions & Beverage Team.
