October was a busy month in our zoo with maintenance work, training, and our Halloween event, Tricky Trail, taking place.

September is the beginning of our quieter season as the park is closed from Monday to Thursdays. It is an opportunity for staff to carry out lots of interesting activities.

It is with deep regret that we report on the passing of Dougie, our beloved Sulawesi Crested Macaque.

August is the last month that the park is open 7 days a week for the 2024 season! We can believe how quickly the summer has flown by!

In July the park had the pleasure of revealing the unexpected birth of a baby macaque and we were delighted to host our first ever Bush Dog Day, with the emergence of 3 bush dog babies.

This month the park is finally open for 7 days a week! The zoo was full of primary school tours learning about the fascinating animals.

This month our zookeepers were full steam ahead to make sure the animals and their habitats were ready to go for longer opening hours.

During April, some animals in our zoo got sheared, our donkeys had a hoof check, and our Discover and Learning Manager attended an important BIAZA meeting.

This month, we had new animals born, took part in an important creativity programme, and attended the EAZA Animal Welfare Forum.
