The stock control team work closely with all departments to understand stock needs and priorities. They will liaise with vendors or suppliers when required to address stock-related concerns.

Role & responsibilities

The Stock Controller Assistant supports the efficient management of inventory across the theme park, ensuring the accurate tracking, storage, and distribution of stock to various departments, retail outlets, and concessions. This role is vital in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring that all park facilities are adequately stocked to meet guest demands.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inventory Management to Assist with the receipt, storage, and organization of incoming stock deliveries.
  • Perform regular stock counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Update inventory management systems with stock movements and adjustments.
  • Distribute stock to various locations across the park, including retail outlets, food and beverage stations, and operational departments.
  • Ensure timely replenishment of stock to avoid shortages during peak periods.
  • Inspect deliveries to ensure items match purchase orders and are free from damage.
  • Report discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to the Stock Controller or manager.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of stockrooms, ensuring they remain clean, organized, and accessible.
  • Assist in maintaining efficient workflows for stock distribution.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations when handling, storing, and moving inventory.
  • Operate equipment, such as forklifts or hand trucks (if certified), safely and responsibly.

Where You’ll work:

Onsite, throughout multiple locations within Emerald Park, supporting departments with their stock levels in food and beverage, concessions and retail outlets

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 17 years or older by March 29th, 2024.
  • Prior work experience is not a requirement, and we welcome individuals who are entering the workforce for the first time.

This is a seasonal contract position. Estimated start date March 29th – September 28th, 2024. Contracts may be extended

Skills

We’re seeking individuals who:

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Basic proficiency with inventory management software or willingness to learn.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving stock safely.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak periods as required.

Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a similar role is an advantage but not required.

Full training will be provided to team members before commencing their work with the Stock Control team.
